Christie Caronis-Gardner has been an artist since she won her first drawing contest
at the age of 4 in Columbus, Ohio. Her "photography" career actually began in
front of the camera, but she found her true love and passion is behind the lens.
Her first "real" camera was a film Olympus she purchased at Cord Camera in the
late 80s. Since then, Christie has made the switch to all Canon digital equipment,
and she’s also improved her craft tremendously. She truly enjoys trying and learning new things and is constantly trying to push the creative envelope.
What Christie can offer that many other photographers can't is a true eye for
design. She has spent over twenty years picking the perfect photo for whatever she
was designing, and when she couldn’t find it...she often took the photo herself. When taking photos, she will often think about what might be done with them later - an album, framed print, cards and so on.
Now, she’s taking that special eye and creativity to wedding and portrait photography
and design as Gardner Photography & Design's primary photographer. She’s trying to be the photographer she would want to hire to capture those special, fleeting moments in life. If only she could clone herself for just one day!
